Gear up for the best buggy adventure in Punta Cana!
Your expedition starts out with pick-up aboard open-air transportation, which will take you northward from your Punta Cana resort to the rugged terrain that’s tucked away in the hidden paths of the Macao area. Next, you’ll be taken to the Wild Tiger adventure center, where you’ll be welcomed by friendly, bilingual guides who will be on hand to guide you through the best, most rip-roaring buggy ride in Punta Cana.
Choose from three tour times, 9AM, 12PM or 3PM, select from three vehicle types — a single-seater to keep the fun to yourself, double-seater to share the thrills with a companion, or a four-seater to trek as a family and take on the secluded jungle landscapes together. Your knowledgeable guides will provide you with the correct gear and give you a safety briefing, to fully prepare you for an awesome journey ahead.
Admire breathtaking views and make thrilling memories
Once you’re all geared up, you’re ready to go, get your buggy’s motor running and set off into the vast Dominican jungle! You will follow your guide and make a caravan with the other riders and passengers on this adventure. You will feel the excitement coursing through your veins as you begin traversing the rugged landscape. You won’t believe your eyes as you take control of your buggy and venture through the stunning jungle, the vast expanse of rice fields and mile after mile of rolling hills. Not to mention, you’ll encounter the awe-inspiring countryside and breathtaking vistas of the island.
Visit an abandoned quarry and swim in a cave
Your Punta Cana buggy adventure will also take you toward an abandoned quarry, which is completely devoid of marble and other minerals, so it has been left with an empty space that’s now designed as a circular shaped track, where you’ll have a wide open space to drive.
After your quarry adventure, the area’s backroads and mountain tracks will continue being your highway. Maneuvering in the jungle is thirsty work, so you’ll have time to park for a water break and re-hydrate from all the adventure. Next you can cool down from the tropical heat by visiting Taino Cave, a hidden geological wonder with healing waters emanating from the ground. Wind it down at the cave and feel free to splash and swim for about 15 minutes to refresh before the final leg of your all-terrain expedition.
Pass through Dominican villages and visit a plantation
After you’ve refreshed in the cave, you will return to your buggy and continue driving through the incredible scenery around you, and this exhilarating excursion will continue ramping up all the pure, unadulterated exploration and excitement as you keep riding along the hidden jungle paths of Punta Cana, passing through villages where you just might see smiling children and locals waving at you.
At the end of the activity, you’ll have the chance to visit a working plantation, where you’ll get a chance to attend a coffee and cacao demonstration. Get a look at how the locals create two of the famous flavors of Dominican Republic — coffee and chocolate. A guide will give information about the cacao fruits and how they become that delicious chocolate and how the beans become the coffee we all enjoy. When your off-road adventure wraps up, take your buggy back to the Wild Tiger adventure center, where your open-air transportation will be on standby to take you back to your resort.
